Sharing the process, the velocity of the water is slower down making it spread over a wider surface of the resin bed. The outflow of the water is free of minerals that cause the hardness in water. This resin bed depletes upon recurring usage. Thus, require regeneration that is when a duplicate resin bed is used thus, giving time of the initial resin bed to refresh. Where the water demand is limited, the method of shutting down the out-flowing during regeneration process can be used.
